Zurich North America seeks an Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriter Director for Construction Property, remotely based in the US (San Antonio/Austin area noted). You will handle complex domestic Construction Property accounts and act as a SME within Zurich's Specialties Construction team.

You will guide underwriting rules, collaborate with brokers, pursue renewal opportunities, and lead client/distributor calls to grow the business.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of underwriting or market facing experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10+ years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3+ years of underwriting or market facing experience.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 12+ years of Claims or Underwriting Support experience.

Responsabilités

• Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules.
• Develop, maintain & collaborate with Line of Business representatives on referrals and other business related needs.
• May provide guidance to lower level associates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) to support retention and acquisition.
• Supports the sales culture by being a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities
• Qualify accounts to meet appetite and opportunity balance.
• Make broker/customer and on-site calls with planned purpose
