Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Project Construction Manager to oversee indirect distribution and transmission/substation professionals, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and budget while upholding safety standards. Duties include coordinating with property owners, customers, and internal teams, and extending coverage during storms.

You will drive risk management, review design drawings, and coach staff to deliver quality work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or HS diploma with years) and construction experience in transmission/distribution.
• Knowledge of Project Management concepts and practices.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build consensus and drive value.
• Certifications within first year include LOTO and OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Manage project construction, ensuring work is performed to standard, within budget, on schedule, and by assessing risk.
• Liaise with property owners and customers affected by construction activities; foster communication and relationships.
• Maximize productivity of internal/external resources; review engineering designs to resolve constructability issues and delays.
• Act as primary communicator between Project Management and field teams; lead site walks and meetings.
• Monitor safety with weekly observations; assist in root cause investigations and audits.
• Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and provide updates in UPPM.
• Engage with stakeholders, lead safety briefings and site visits to projects.
