Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 2 to provide direction on moderately complex construction projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy and values.

You will guide the preconstruction and execution phases, manage safety programs, coordinate with owners, designers, subcontractors, and vendors, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Strong leadership, communication, and Lean thinking are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 7+ years construction management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Willing to travel/relocate as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• May require non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of safety culture and mentorship within the project team.
• Manage prestart checklist and subcontractor pricing activities.
• Coordinate preconstruction including takeoff, bid packages, scheduling and bid advertisements.
• Lead buyout schedule development and manage subcontracts.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; ensure timely responses.
• Prepare and issue change requests with cost/schedule impact as needed.
• Provide monthly cost and margin forecasts and assist budget development.
• Oversee project closeout activities and interface with counsel as appropriate.
