Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Technical Specialist, General Liability, to manage an active caseload of liability and property damage claims from first notice of loss to resolution. You will determine coverage, assess liability, establish reserves, and issue payments within authority, while communicating with customers and attorneys.

You will mentor Claim Reps, coordinate with counsel on litigation strategies, and adapt to new technology and AI tools, maintaining high service quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent.
• Two years of bodily injury or property damage liability claim experience.
• Two years of litigation claim experience.
• Active adjuster license as required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage active caseloads of injury and/or property damage claims through resolution.
• Gather information from relevant parties to determine coverage and liability.
• Provide timely communication to customers, counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and issue payments accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with counsel on litigation management strategies.
