Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Construction Inspector to lead roadway and bridge construction inspections in the Atlanta area.

You will proactively identify deficiencies, review workmanship, and mentor junior staff to ensure adherence to contract specs and CQAP guidelines. You will conduct daily site visits, prepare detailed inspection reports for bridge work, and act as SME for developer-related activities while coordinating with IQF and internal QA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 3+ years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 8+ years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• High school diploma with 15+ years in roadway/bridge inspection as OV for State Highway Agency.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document deficiencies in roadway/bridge construction and communicate adjustments for contract compliance.
• Conduct daily site visits to monitor work-in-progress for materials and workmanship compliance.
• Mentor and review junior team members' work for QA and best practices.
• Provide inspections and written reports for bridge construction and OV activities.
• Supervise junior technicians performing OV audits/inspections.
• Serve as SME on Developer activities including remediation/review.
• Monitor on-site construction activities and inspect materials per plans and special provisions.
• Oversee sampling/testing per CQAP and project schedule; ensure timely QA data entry.
• Attend pre-activity meetings with Developer and IQF; coordinate issue resolution.
• Ensure material certifications for Final Acceptance.
