Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Construction Inspector to lead field inspections on roadway and bridge projects in the Atlanta area.

You will identify deficiencies, document findings, and ensure compliance with contract specifications through daily site visits. The role includes mentoring junior technicians, preparing written reports for OV activities, coordinating with IQF and the QA program, and upholding safety standards while supervising QA materials testing and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 3+ years of roadway/bridge inspection experience or
• Associate degree with 8+ years experience in roadway/bridge inspection or
• High school diploma with 15+ years experience in roadway/bridge inspection or
• Experience in transportation construction inspection including heavy civil, bridge and roadway projects
• Thorough knowledge of specs, standards, materials, methods and equipment in highway/bridge construction
• Proficiency with mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry)
• Experience reading/interpreting complex construction plans and reports
• Ability to work independently and make field decisions
• Commitment to safety in construction environments
• Valid US Driver’s License; pass MVR

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and document deficiencies in roadway/bridge construction and communicate adjustments
• Conduct daily site visits to monitor work-in-progress
• Mentor and review work of junior team members for QA
• Provide specialized inspections and written reports for bridge construction and OV activities
• Supervise junior technicians performing OV audits and inspections
• Serve as SME on Developer activities, including remediation and repair reviews
• Monitor on-site activities and inspect materials per plans, specs, and provisions
• Oversee sampling/testing verification under CQAP
• Ensure material certification requirements for Final Acceptance
• Perform contract administration and maintain documentation
