Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an estimator with a strong background in cost control and project scheduling. The role involves performing quantity take-offs, preparing OPCCs, and researching historical data to support competitive bids.

You will collaborate with project managers and procurement, participate in pre-bid activities, and develop schedules with attention to detail and accuracy. Travel may be required for project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take‑offs and cost research.
• Utilize Timberline to prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) and design-build projects.
• Research historical data and compile reports to guide future estimates.
• Coordinate pricing with project managers and procurement for OPCCs.
• Participate in pre‑bid walks and Bid‑Day quote tabulations.
• Develop project schedules and financial analyses for routine reporting.
