Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator to support cost planning and bid activities for construction projects. The role involves preparing cost estimates, quantity take‑offs, and researching labor and material costs to support competitive bids.

You will work with project teams to ensure accurate OPCCs and sound project economics. Applicants should have a engineering or construction management background and several years of estimating experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and researching costs.
• Prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) and design-build project estimates using Timberline.
• Assist in bid-day tabulations and pre-bid site walks.
• Develop baseline schedules and assist with project reporting and change management.
• Coordinate with procurement, subcontractors and vendors for pricing and deliverables.
