Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an estimator capable of performing basic to moderately complex cost estimating tasks across construction projects. You will utilize Timberline, prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC), and assist with bids, procurement, and schedule alignment.

Travel up to 10% may be required. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management and 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare OPCCs and design-build cost estimates using Timberline.
• Coordinate with project controls to update project schedules and reports.
• Develop purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders and cost items.
• Lead field teams and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare and review project documentation, submittals and QA/QC records.
• Assist with change management and time impact analysis (TIA) schedules.
