Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an estimator to perform basic to moderately complex cost estimation for construction projects, including quantity take-offs, material pricing, and research for Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) and design-build projects.

The role involves coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and procurement teams, preparing schedules and financial analyses, and supporting field and project personnel with QA/QC and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs and prepare OPCC for projects.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement for pricing.
• Prepare schedules and financial analyses for routine reporting.
• Assist design engineers and field teams to resolve site conditions.
• Develop baseline schedules and work breakdown structures (WBS).
• Support QA/QC and health & safety reporting on project sites.
