Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Estimator to perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks for construction projects. You will use Timberline to prepare OPCCs, research costs, and coordinate with project teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing pricing with project managers, engaging subcontractors, participating in pre-bid walks, and supporting field teams with documentation and change management.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic to moderately complex estimating tasks
• Familiarity with construction cost analysis and OPCC processes
• Ability to coordinate with project managers and procurement teams

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including take-offs and cost research
• Utilize Timberline to prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction
• Research historical data and prepare summary reports for guidelines
• Review pricings from project managers and procurement against OPCCs
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
• Participate in pre-bid walks and Bid-Day tabulations
• Supervise project activities and provide field and site admin support
• Prepare and review submittals of moderate to high complexity
