Job summary

Travelers Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Senior Claims professional in Hawaii to manage severe and complex liability claims with strategic oversight. You will evaluate liability, damages, and coverage, coordinate with counsel and experts, and lead resolution efforts with insureds and claimants.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in claims, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a deep understanding of commercial lines policy language.

Qualifications

• 10+ years claim handling experience or related experience with 3-5 years handling serious injury and complex liability claims.
• High School Degree or GED; adjuster license may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle assigned severe claims.
• Full damage value for average claim (FDV) in the millions.
• Provide quality customer service and ensure file quality, timely coverage analysis and communication with insured.
• Interview witnesses and stakeholders; obtain statements as appropriate.
• Maintain claim files and document activities.
• Develop and employ creative resolution strategies.
• Negotiate disposition of claims with insureds and claimants or their legal representatives.
• Travel up to 30%.
