Qualifications

Seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
Licenses in multiple jurisdictions; ability to obtain additional licenses within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Adjudicate construction defect claims at high authority limits with technical complexity.
Conduct information gathering, analysis, and investigation to resolve issues.
Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
Analyze policies and endorsements to determine coverage.
Investigate claims promptly and interview involved parties.
Manage claims in litigation and ensure timely resolutions.
Set claim reserves considering policy wordings and reserving impact.
Identify loss drivers and trends to reduce frequency and severity.
