Qualifications

• Seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions; ability to obtain other licenses within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims with high technical complexity and potential major impact on results.
• Conduct detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to find solutions.
• Report to senior management and underwriters on claims trends and developments.
• Analyze forms, endorsements and instructions to determine coverage.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly with involved parties.
• Manage claims in litigation and diary tasks to ensure timely resolution.
• Set reserves considering policy wordings and reserving impact.
• Identify loss drivers and trends to reduce claims frequency and severity.
• Coordinate expert resources to assist in case resolution.
• Prepare reports and communicate with clients and insurers.
• Apply innovative solutions for the best financial outcomes.
• Negotiate complex settlement packages within authority.
