Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist Team Lead to adjudicate the most complex construction defect claims for customers. This 100% in-office role will require working on-site at designated offices, with potential fully remote options for certain states.

The candidate will lead investigations, manage coverage analyses, and drive settlement outcomes while coordinating expert resources and maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

• Seven years’ experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000+.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions or ability to obtain licenses rapidly.
• General Adjusting License in FL, TX or WY or licensed in other jurisdictions.
• Ability to obtain licenses in each needed jurisdiction within 3 months of hire.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how an insurance company earns money.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims with high technical complexity and potential major impact.
• Conduct information gathering, analysis and investigation to resolve complex issues.
• Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Determine policy coverage applicability based on claims forms, endorsements, and client instructions.
• Investigate claims promptly, including interviewing involved parties.
• Manage claims in litigation and ensure timely, favorable outcomes.
