Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions; ability to obtain other licenses within 3 months of hire in applicable jurisdictions.
• Must be licensed as a Claims Examiner or able to quickly obtain licenses in jurisdictions requiring one, within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims at the highest authority limits with substantial technical complexity.
• Conduct detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to resolve issues.
• Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Analyze claims forms, endorsements, and client instructions to determine policy coverage.
• Investigate promptly and thoroughly, including interviewing involved parties.
• Manage claims in litigation and maintain diaries to ensure timely resolution.
• Set claim reserves considering policy wordings and reserving impacts.
• Identify loss drivers and trends to reduce frequency and severity through data analysis.
