Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking an experienced Conflicts Analyst to support the Firm’s new business intake and risk management efforts, ensuring data integrity and conducting conflicts searches and due diligence.

The role collaborates with attorneys and administrative teams to support ethical compliance and process improvements across the department, joining a growing Conflicts team that plays a critical role in the Firm’s risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of corporate experience, preferably in a legal environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client service.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Review new business intake requests for accuracy and completeness, including corporate research on clients and related parties.
• Perform conflicts searches, analyze results, and prepare reports for Conflicts Attorneys and Department Management.
• Assist with resolving conflicts issues involving established processes and related areas (patent prosecution, portfolio work, docketing, vendors, change forms).
• Review engagement letters and outside counsel guidelines to identify deviations and suggest revisions.
• Assist with audit letters and draft, distribute, and track conflict consent documentation.
• Support ethical walls by preparing screening memoranda and setting up screens in Intapp Walls.
• Maintain conflicts database integrity through data reconciliation and testing.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, jurisdictional requirements, and Firm policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
