Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Senior Configuration Analyst to support VA applications and migrate to the cloud. You will develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control and reporting of both internal software and COTS products.

Role requires deep CM expertise, experience in regulated environments, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliant, repeatable builds and deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software builds and releases across environments.
• Proven ability to operate in large, regulated or federal settings.
• Deep CM and release engineering expertise.
• Broad knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.
• Experience with CM: identification, baselining, change control, status accounting.
• Proficiency with Git, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and SVN.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and artifact repositories.
• Automation scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and lead cloud migration efforts.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control and reporting.
• Perform CM and release tasks ensuring documented, compliant builds.
• Design, develop and maintain automation tools for modeling and development.
• Create build procedures to support product development and usage.
• Develop company-wide software configuration standards.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality practices.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and lead junior analysts/engineers.
