Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to support VA applications and migrate systems to the cloud. The role focuses on building and maintaining CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software, including COTS and in-house products.

You will lead CM practices, design build procedures, and train developers in CM tools and standards while collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software builds and releases in regulated or federal environments.
• Strong CM and release engineering expertise.
• Knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.
• Familiarity with CM practices: identification, baselining, change control, status accounting.
• Proficiency with source control and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migration to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software.
• Perform CM and release tasks ensuring documentation and hardware conformity.
• Design, automate, and maintain productivity tools for software modeling and development.
• Build procedures to support product development and use.
• Develop company-wide software configuration standards.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide guidance on complex problems and decisions.
• Ensure repeatable build and deployment processes across projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior analysts/engineers.
