Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to support VA applications from a remote location. You will develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software, while leading builds and releases across environments.

You will design automation, implement build procedures, and mentor junior staff. A strong background in CM, CI/CD, scripting, and IaC is required; U.S. citizenship and Public Trust clearance are needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software builds and releases in regulated or federal environments.
• Proficient in CM practices: identification, baselining, change control, status accounting.
• Strong scripting and automation skills; familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of IaC, CI/CD toolchains, and software quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate to cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting and delivery.
• Perform CM and release tasks ensuring documentation, hardware alignment, and sustainability.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tooling for software modeling.
• Implement build procedures to support development and usage.
• Establish software CM standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers on CM tools and quality practices.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regularly.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts/engineers in CM best practices.
• Manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines.
