Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II for a 100% remote position supporting Veterans Affairs (VA). The role requires deep CM and release engineering expertise, with cloud migration, tool development, and governance across software environments.

The ideal candidate will lead CM efforts, mentor junior staff, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure compliant, repeatable build and deployment processes across projects while maintaining security standards.

Qualifications

Experience leading complex software builds and releases across environments.
Experience in regulated or federal environments.
Deep CM and release engineering expertise.
Knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS.
Perform CM and release engineering tasks to ensure compliant builds and SD parameters.
Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve software modelling.
Design and implement build procedures to support product development.
Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
Operate autonomously and meet deadlines.
Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior staff.
