Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to support the Veterans Affairs program in a 100% U.S.-based remote role. The position focuses on configuration management, release engineering, and cloud migration across multiple environments.

You will design/build reusable CM tools, standardize configurations, and mentor junior analysts. Strong collaboration with stakeholders is essential, as is advancing CI/CD and IaC practices while complying with security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading CM and release engineering across environments.
• Experience in regulated or federal environments is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of CM and release processes, baselining, change control, and status accounting.
• Familiarity with source control systems and branching/merging strategies.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and artifact repositories.
• Scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with IaC and environment management.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software (COTS and in-house).
• Perform CM and release tasks ensuring compliant build parameters and logistically sustainable processes.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools for software modeling and development.
• Create and implement build procedures to support product development and use.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use and training.
