Job summary

Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to support Veterans Affairs (VA) applications and lead CM across software builds and releases. The role emphasizes cloud migration, CM tool development, and governance across multiple environments.

The position expects extensive experience in CM, release engineering, and DevOps, with a focus on collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This is a full-time remote opportunity requiring U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline plus 10+ years' relevant experience.
Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS products.
Perform CM and release engineering to document opening parameters, align with hardware configurations, and ensure reproducibility.
Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using scripting, databases, or programming languages.
Design and implement build procedures to support software product development and usage.
Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
Train developers in CM tools and quality practices.
Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
