Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to support VA applications and spearhead the migration to the cloud. The role focuses on configuring software management, release engineering, and building automated tooling across in-house and COTS products.

The ideal candidate has deep CM, DevOps, and CI/CD experience in regulated or federal environments, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading and delivering complex software builds and releases across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and drive cloud migration.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software (COTS & in-house).
• Perform CM and release engineering tasks ensuring documentation, hardware alignment, and logistically sustainable processes.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve software modeling and development.
• Design and implement build procedures for product development and use.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Operate autonomously and make sound decisions.
• Ensure compliant, repeatable build/deployment processes across projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and train junior analysts/engineers in CM best practices.
