Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to lead software configuration management and release engineering efforts for VA systems. The role emphasizes cloud migration, tooling, and building repeatable processes across teams.

You will design CM procedures, train developers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, scalable deployments in a remote U.S. based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline and 10+ years' relevant experience.
• Experience leading and delivering complex software builds and releases across multiple environments.
• Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS products.
• Perform CM and release engineering tasks ensuring documentation, hardware alignment, and logisitcal sustainability.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve software modeling and development.
• Design and implement build procedures to support software product development and use.
• Train developers in CM tools and software quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts/engineers in CM best practices.
