Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to support VA applications and lead the migration to the cloud. This remote role requires deep CM expertise, strong automation skills, and the ability to guide release engineering across multiple environments.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in regulated settings, experience with CM tools, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting. U.S. citizenship is required; the position is fully remote for eligible US locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field; 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Proven track record delivering complex software builds/releases in regulated environments.
Knowledge of CM practices: identification, baselining, change control, status accounting.
Experience with cloud migrations and DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

Support VA applications and lead migration to the cloud.
Develop CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery.
Perform CM and release tasks; ensure parameter documentation and hardware alignment.
Design, automate, and maintain productivity tools for modeling and dev.
Implement build procedures for product development and use.
Develop company-wide software configuration standards.
Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
Provide guidance on complex problems; mentor junior staff.
Ensure repeatable build/deploy across projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders across internal/external teams.
Lead and mentor junior analysts/engineers.
