Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to support VA applications, migrate to the cloud, and lead CM and release engineering efforts in a fully remote setting.

The role requires deep CM expertise, strong scripting and DevOps knowledge, and the ability to train junior staff while collaborating with stakeholders. U.S. citizenship and Public Trust (MBI) clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Proven CM and release engineering experience in large environments.
• Familiarity with CM tools and software configuration standards.
• Experience with source control systems and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and lead cloud migration.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software.
• Perform CM and release tasks ensuring documentation and hardware configurations.
• Create build procedures for software product development and use.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality practices.
• Provide guidance on complex problems and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure repeatable build/deploy processes across projects.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
