Job summary
Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to support the Veterans Affairs (VA) program. This remote, full-time role emphasizes configuration management, release engineering, and DevOps practices across software builds and deployments.
The successful candidate will mentor junior staff and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, repeatable processes.
Qualifications
- Must have strong configuration management and release engineering experience.
- Experience in regulated or federal environments preferred.
- Expertise with source control and CI/CD tooling is required.
- Proficiency in scripting for automation is essential.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior analysts/engineers.
Responsibilities
- Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
- Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, and delivery of software.
- Perform CM and release tasks ensuring documentation and configuration conformity.
- Design and automate productivity tools to improve modeling and development.
- Lead build procedures and standards for company-wide use.
- Train developers in CM tools and quality practices.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor junior staff in CM best practices.
