Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is hiring a Senior Configuration Analyst to lead CM and release engineering for VA-related software. The role emphasizes cloud migration, tool development, and standards for company-wide CM practices. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with multiple stakeholders on complex builds.

The position is 100% remote in the U.S. with Public Trust clearance and full-time status, reporting to the VA department.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software builds and releases across environments.
• Proven ability in CM, release engineering, and governance.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools in regulated environments.
• Experience with CM identification, baselining, change control, and status accounting.
• Ability to mentor and train junior staff on CM best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, and reporting.
• Perform CM and release tasks ensuring compliant builds and deployment.
• Design, automate, and maintain productivity tools for modeling and development.
• Create build procedures to support product development and usage.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and lead junior analysts/engineers in CM best practices.
