Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Compute Platform team.

You will own the design and operation of Kubernetes cluster management tooling to keep the compute platform reliable at scale and enable hundreds of engineers to deploy services seamlessly. You will build developer-facing tooling, integrate AI-driven processes, and deliver new compute capabilities such as one-off jobs, cron scheduling, deployment strategies, and automated right-sizing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with Kubernetes experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java for production-grade infra services.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, build, and operation of Kubernetes cluster management tooling.
• Build developer-facing tooling and workflows for Kubernetes with AI-driven processes.
• Deliver compute capabilities like one-off jobs, cron scheduling, deployment strategies.
• Drive observability and incident response while reducing toil.
• Collaborate with Security, Reliability, and Observability teams to meet security and performance standards.
