Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Compounding Lab Manager to lead the daily operations of the compounding labs within the pharmacy. You will drive scale-up of compounding capabilities and champion quality and patient safety in accordance with federal and state regulations.

You will oversee technicians, coordinate equipment, work with Quality Operations and the PIC, and ensure SOPs and regulatory requirements are met while supporting new compounding initiatives and training across the team.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with USP chapters 795 and 800.
• Experience working in a compounding pharmacy is required.
• Familiarity with Computer Rx pharmacy software.
• Familiarity with pharmacy and compounding SOPs.
• Ability to teach and train pharmacy staff.
• Strong organizational and regulatory compliance mindset.
• Clear, professional communication with staff and management.
• Inventory management and leading projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Direct Personnel Manager of compounding technicians, including PTO requests and annual reviews.
• Train new compounding technicians on equipment and processes.
• Be immersed in the daily operation of the pharmacy.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for compounding equipment and supplier coordination.
• Partner with Quality Operations and PIC to ensure quality and safety.
• Organize and maintain documentation with Compounding Maintenance team, including calibrations and hood certifications.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and SOP upkeep with SMEs and PIC.
• Support development of compounding initiatives.
• Staff non-sterile labs with high competency when needed.
• Ensure training materials and competency verifications are completed timely.
