Job summary

RTX seeks a senior engineering leader in Tucson, AZ to manage a team of component engineers and obsolescence leads within Hardware Engineering. You will drive performance management, hiring support, design reviews, and project execution while engaging with government customers including DoD programs.

This onsite role requires active U.S. security clearance and collaboration across IPTs to meet cost and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• 8+ years of relevant experience in hardware engineering
• Experience with parts standardization in the design process
• Experience developing BOMs and managing obsolescence
• Experience preparing BIDs/BOEs (Basis of Estimates)

Responsibilities

• Manage team of component engineers and program obsolescence leads
• Performance management and career development activities
• Support hiring efforts (resume reviews, interviews, etc.)
• Involvement in Independent Gate and Design Reviews
• Lead/drive department initiatives and strategic goals
• Develop proposals and BASIS OF ESTIMATES (BOEs)
• Lead/manage projects including schedules and resources
