RTX is hiring a Senior Principal Systems Engineer in Tucson, AZ for the LRSO Production program. You will lead system engineering across production, guide cross-functional teams, and interact with customers and government partners to ensure program success.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in system architectures, lifecycle management, and clear communication. This onsite role includes a comprehensive benefits package and strict clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and at least 10 years of engineering experience.
• Certification: Lead Systems Engineer level (Raytheon/RTX) for production transition.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide status, issues and required support to Raytheon RTX leadership.
• Guide multi-disciplinary teams across product development and production.
• Coordinate with customers, government orgs and partners to guide development.
• Assimilate knowledge across technical fields to balance system performance.
• Interpret customer requirements and translate to actionable directions.
• Identify and mitigate risks balancing capabilities and goals.
• Support capture of new business and influence roadmaps.
• Plan upgrades and system improvements incrementally.
• Drive continuous improvement in production and FRACAS activities.
• Serve as key source of system and product knowledge.
• Engage in regular customer briefings and leadership meetings.
• Mentor early-career engineers for growth.
