Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering leader for the Land & Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems group in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on program execution, cost, schedule, and technical oversight across the product lifecycle.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with IPTs and leadership, and drive capacity growth, obsolescence mitigation, and producibility improvements. U.S. citizenship and DoD security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree.
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience.
• At least 4 years managing a multi-disciplinary Hardware Engineering Team.
• Experience with technical team and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts across technical and program management disciplines.
• Analyze data of program products for performance consistency.
• Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify constraints and risks.
• Review design updates and relate them to historical changes.
• Align legacy product parameters with redesigned subsystems.
• Perform data collection and provide detailed reports.
• Collaborate with hardware IPTs, CPTLs, leadership, customers and partners.
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps for capacity growth and tech insertion.
• Mentor team members and REAs on best practices.
