Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Chief Engineer to lead a large, multi-disciplinary engineering team on a DoD-related program. You will manage technical execution under a multi-year contract, coordinating with program leadership to meet milestones and customer requirements for a complex RF seeker system.

The role requires active Top Secret clearance, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain program access. Expect onsite collaboration with multiple IPT leads and senior stakeholders at RTX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience as a Level 4 or higher Chief Engineer.
• Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical execution to complete a multi-million contract.
• Lead program leadership to achieve milestones.
• Head a team of 150+ engineers to deliver technical solutions.
• Oversee advanced algorithm and software development and qualification.
• Design, develop and integrate a captive flight test system for the RF seeker.
• Coordinate with customer test facilities for development and integration testing.
• Communicate progress to internal and external leadership levels.
