Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Compliance Governance and Reporting Lead to enhance governance, risk reporting, and management reporting for the Compliance Program. You will synthesize complex information into executive-level insights for senior leadership and lead governance for key committees and risk oversight.

You will drive automation and standardized practices, partner across Compliance Risk, Legal, and Internal Audit, and help evolve the eGRC, Tableau, and other tools to improve transparency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years governance, risk and controls in financial services, or 5–7+ years without a degree.
• Experience managing governance, risk reporting, program management, or executive reporting in a regulated financial setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication with governance documentation and leadership-ready reporting.
• Experience using risk/compliance tools and reporting solutions such as eGRC, SharePoint/Teamsites, Tableau, or similar.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with workflow/automation tools (Power Apps) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance Compliance governance routines and senior management forums; develop agendas and materials; ensure timely follow-through.
• Synthesize complex compliance and risk information into concise executive reporting for leadership and committees.
• Oversee risk appetite and KRI reporting; ensure metric quality and adherence to standards.
• Manage the Compliance Program Master Schedule and collaborate with eGRC to automate reminders and approvals.
• Support regulatory examinations and audits with executive-ready materials and status tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement of governance, reporting, and analytics using Tableau, Excel, and automation.
