Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking a senior technical expert to lead resolution strategies for high-severity D&O and E&O claims, engaging insureds and counsel, and guiding resolution on a national scale.

The role requires extensive experience in complex negotiations, coverage determinations, and managing large reserves while collaborating with internal teams and outside counsel. A license within 90 days is expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Master’s or JD is required or equivalent experience.
• Typically a minimum ten years of relevant experience in complex claims.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution strategies for high-severity D&O and E&O claims with national impact.
• Engage insureds and counsel, and oversee investigations, settlements and negotiations.
• Verify coverage, set and manage reserves following policy language and protocols.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to develop and execute claim resolution plans.
• Mentor junior claim professionals and contribute to special projects as needed.
