Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking an experienced senior claims professional to lead resolution strategies for high-stakes D&O and E&O matters involving public companies and financial institutions.

The role involves managing large-scale claims with multi-year exposure, directing investigations, and coordinating with counsel to execute settlements and complex litigation, while maintaining regulatory compliance and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; JD preferred.
• Typically a minimum ten years of relevant experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days where applicable.
• Advanced negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of the most complex Public D&O and Financial Institutions E&O claims, multi-year with significant loss exposure; includes coverage determinations, investigations, communications, and resolution strategies with risk transfer, negotiations and litigation management.
• Provides exceptional customer service by driving continuous improvements for all aspects of the claim/account, delivering professional claims services and meeting quality and cycle time standards.
• Verifies coverage, sets and manages reserves by interpreting policy language and following claim handling protocols.
• Leads focused investigations to determine compensability, liability and damages by gathering information and coordinating with experts or other parties as needed.
• Drives resolution by collaborating with internal and external partners to develop and execute strategies, including reserves management, coordinating with coverage experts, negotiating settlements, and managing complex litigation.
