Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance products, policy language, coverage, and claim practices.
• Experience interpreting general liability policies and evaluating coverage issues.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex settlements.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of complex commercial litigation claims requiring technical expertise and proactive claim handling.
• Analyze policy language and coverage obligations and prepare written coverage determinations.
• Develop, own, and execute claim resolution strategies, including settlements and all aspects of litigation management.
• Provide timely updates and respond to inquiries for insureds, claimants, and business partners.
• Set and manage timely reserves considering coverage, liability, and damages.
• Keep leadership informed of risks via exposure evaluations, loss summaries, and status presentations.
• Maintain subject matter expertise and ensure regulatory compliance.
