Job summary

CNA is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage complex mass tort litigation claims with a focus on coverage evaluation, negotiation, and proactive claim resolution. The role requires independent judgment and strong communication with insureds and partners.

Responsibilities include developing strategies, managing reserves, and coordinating with multiple CNA offices. A JD or relevant degree with six years of experience is expected, with licensure within 90 days where applicable.

Qualifications

• JD or Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience in a Claims organization or legal capacity.
• Typically a minimum six years of relevant claims or legal experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of complex commercial litigation claims requiring technical expertise and proactive claim handling.
• Analyze policy language and coverage obligations and prepare written determinations.
• Develop, own, and execute claim resolution strategies including settlements and all aspects of litigation management.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to move claims to closure.
• Provide timely updates and respond to inquiries with insureds, claimants, and partners.
• Set and manage timely reserves considering coverage, liability, and damages.
