Job summary

CNA Insurance in the United States is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage high-exposure, complex mass tort litigation claims, including sexual abuse, environmental, and multi-claimant exposures. You will evaluate policy language, develop resolution strategies, and coordinate claim resolution with internal and external partners.

This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule across CNA offices and requires independent judgment, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to quality

Qualifications

• JD or Bachelor's Degree in a Claims or legal capacity is required.
• Typically a minimum six years of relevant claims or legal experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days where applicable.
• Experience evaluating coverage issues in general liability, including occurrences, trigger and allocation.
• Strong negotiation experience, including mediations, preferred.
• Abuse, product liability, pollution, and/or high-severity general liability claims experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of complex commercial litigation claims requiring technical expertise and proactive handling.
• Analyze policy language and coverage obligations and prepare written determinations.
• Develop, own, and execute claim resolution strategies including settlements and litigation management.
• Maintain exceptional customer service and provide timely updates to insureds and claimants.
• Set and manage timely reserves considering coverage, liability, and damages.
• Keep leadership informed of significant risks and losses with status updates and presentations.
