CNA Insurance seeks an experienced claims professional to manage high-exposure mass tort litigation, including policy interpretation and complex settlements. You will analyze policy language, develop resolution strategies, and coordinate with partners to close claims efficiently.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance products, policy language, coverage, and claim practices.
• Experience interpreting general liability policies and evaluating coverage issues, including occurrences, trigger, and allocation.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex settlements.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of complex commercial litigation claims requiring technical expertise, independent judgement and proactive claim handling.
• Analyze policy language and coverage obligations and prepare written coverage determinations.
• Develop, own, and execute claim resolution strategies, including risk transfer, settlement negotiations, and all aspects of litigation management.
• Collaborate with internal and external business partners to move claims to closure.
• Ensure exceptional customer service through proactive claim management and communication with insureds, claimants, and partners.
• Set and manage timely reserves considering coverage, liability, and damages.
• Keep leadership informed of significant risks and losses through exposure evaluations and status reports.
