Munich Re Specialty - North America in Princeton, NJ seeks a Senior Claims Specialist to manage high-exposure casualty and specialty claims on the Complex Team. You will coordinate with counsel, experts, and vendors to drive outcomes and assess coverage, investigations, and recoveries.

This role emphasizes strategic decision-making, collaboration across internal and external partners, and travel ~10–15%; a law degree is preferred and adjuster licenses must be maintained.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of high-exposure casualty and/or specialty claims experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain adjuster license(s) in states assigned.
• Strong analytical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for internal and external audiences.
• Willingness to travel ~10–15% of time.
• Independent, adaptable, and strategic in decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of in-house and third-party administered claims.
• Collaborate with counsel, experts, vendors to drive optimal outcomes.
• Assess coverage, manage investigations, and pursue recoveries and subrogation.
• Set reserves with a strategic vision throughout the claim life cycle.
• Present high exposure claims to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with partners for client meetings and product improvements.
