Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join the Complex Team, handling high-exposure casualty and specialty claims across in-house and third-party administration, from primary to reinsurance layers.

You will collaborate with counsel, experts, vendors, and internal partners to determine coverage, manage investigations, set reserves, and pursue recoveries, with travel of about 10–15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Law degree preferred.
• 10+ years in handling high-exposure casualty and/or specialty claims.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel ~10%–15%.
• Maintain valid adjuster licenses.

Responsabilités

• Thoroughly investigate and assess coverage and damages.
• Coordinate with counsel, vendors, and partners for outcomes.
• Evaluate coverage issues and regulatory requirements.
• Manage claims with strategic vision for optimal outcomes.
• Set reserves reflecting exposure and changes over time.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and vendors for best results.
• Present high-exposure claims to leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate on client meetings, product development and audits.
• Look for ways to improve claim efficiencies and outcomes.
