Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a dedicated dbt community team member to lead our global Slack community. You will drive digital engagement, shape guidelines, and partner with internal teams to foster trust, learning, and collaboration among data practitioners worldwide.

You will own operations, develop workflows, coach moderators, and surface insights to product and marketing. A strong background in community management and analytics is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital community management or related field, globally distributed environments.
• Proven experience owning day-to-day operations for large online communities.
• Strong ability to build trust, belonging, and scale community programs.
• Experience designing moderation workflows and Code of Conduct enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community for a global audience.
• Evolve channel strategy, guidelines, and engagement programming with stakeholders.
• Develop scalable moderation and support workflows including escalation paths.
• Coach moderators, recruit and onboard new community leaders as needed.
• Create content systems for announcements, highlights, prompts, storytelling.
• Surface insights and feedback to Product, Marketing, Support; close loop.
• Monitor engagement metrics and run experiments to improve health.
• Manage community tool stack and document best practices.
• Plan incident response with Legal/People/Security when needed.
• Support cross-channel engagement to create a cohesive member journey.
