Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager, Preconstruction, to ownTESTING & COMMISSIONING activities for PV, BESS, and HV from BD through LNTP. You will coordinate technical, commercial, and schedule inputs, develop estimates and bases of estimate, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

You will work with Preconstruction, Engineering, SCADA, and Field Operations teams to develop unified commissioning packages and transfer them to Operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in commissioning utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Experience reviewing EPC contracts, commissioning exhibits, specifications, and acceptance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning workstream during BD and through contract execution, coordinating inputs across technical, commercial, estimating, and planning teams.
• Collaborate with Preconstruction, SCADA, Performance Engineering, PV, HV, BESS commissioning SMEs to integrate scope, estimates, schedules, and deliverables.
• Represent Testing & Commissioning during EPC contract reviews focusing on exhibits, specs, owner requirements, SOW, and vendor scopes.
• Lead the development of commissioning plans, schedules, and milestones; ensure alignment with contract requirements and standard practices.
• Oversee commissioning exhibits and scope language during contract negotiations; resolve ambiguities with BD, Preconstruction, PM, and Legal.
• Lead client communications to explain commissioning requirements, risks, and commitments and document decisions.
