Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Manhasset, NY is seeking a Commercial Maintenance Lead responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at assigned facilities. The role may involve supervising maintenance staff and coordinating with contractors to ensure reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of MEP experience in commercial settings, strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, pumps, and EMS/BMS, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with trade training preferred
• 5+ years operating and maintaining MEP in a commercial setting
• Experience with HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigeration and related systems
• Knowledge of EMS/BMS and energy conservation practices
• Basic computer skills including MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel)

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operation, maintenance and repair of MEP and building systems
• Perform preventive maintenance such as changing filters, lubricating motors, replacing lamps and adjusting belts
• Develop and implement improvements to preventive maintenance programs
• Coordinate activities with contractors, vendors and technicians
• Maintain inventory and safety/compliance with regulations
• Prepare monthly building operations reports
• Supervise maintenance staff and assign work orders when needed
• Respond to emergencies and on-call duties as required
