Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Chief Engineer to lead engineering and maintenance across large properties. You will supervise staff, oversee extensive building systems, and ensure energy and life-safety compliance.

Primary responsibilities include budgeting, coordinating with contractors, and driving continuous improvement in facilities operations. A strong background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and EMS is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 10+ years engineering experience with supervisory responsibility in a commercial property setting
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required (Journeyman/Master Electrician)
• Universal Technician for CFCs depending on licensure requirements
• Knowledge of EMS/building management systems and fire alarm systems
• Proficiency in staff scheduling and preventive maintenance planning

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise engineering and maintenance staff, including hiring, training and performance reviews
• Oversee properties totaling 500k square feet or more
• Conduct inspections and energy audits of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems; ensure ADA compliance
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and tenant finish personnel
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures and operating budgets, and review service contracts
• Assist in capital budgeting and long-term planning for properties
