Job summary

First Financial Bank is seeking a Sr. Loan Coordinator in Indianapolis to serve as a liaison between Underwriting and Sales, providing administrative support for the loan process.

The role involves ensuring data accuracy, assembling materials for underwriting, and coordinating closing activities for loans, including large loans over $1M. You will train junior staff, collaborate with Senior Loan Advisor and UW teams, and work with borrowers to gather missing information while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years lending or insurance industry experience.
• Able to work independently and aggressively to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines.
• Able to communicate and work efficiently internally and with borrowers.
• Excel proficiency is required.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review loan coordinator files for accuracy and completeness.
• Review loan file documents and request additional information as needed from borrowers.
• Train and mentor Loan Coordinator to be self-sufficient in processing.
• Develop process flow and processing requirements for loans >$1M in collaboration with Senior Loan Advisor, Senior UW, and Legal Counsel.
• Provide support to the Underwriting team by cross-training the UW position.
• Coordinate the closing process with Underwriter, LO, and customer and generate loan documents after approval.
• Provide backup for Sales and Underwriting teams with file reviews as needed.
• Assist Sales & Underwriting in meeting goals and directives to improve company performance.
