Job summary

First Financial Bank in Indianapolis is seeking a Sr. Loan Coordinator to act as a liaison between Underwriting and Sales and to manage the day-to-day processing responsibilities for loans. The role involves assembling materials, verifying data, and coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The successful candidate will check documents for accuracy, obtain missing information, train junior staff, and help develop processes for large loans while supporting the Sales & Underwriting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years Lending or Insurance industry experience.
• Excel proficiency is required.
• Able to communicate and work efficiently internally and with borrowers.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review loan files for accuracy and completeness.
• Review all loan file documents and request additional information as needed from borrowers.
• Train and mentor Loan Coordinator to be self-sufficient in processing.
• Develop processing requirements for loans in excess of $1M+ with Senior Loan Advisor and Senior UW.
• Provide support to the Underwriting team by cross-training the UW position.
• Coordinate the closing process with Underwriter, LO, and customer and generate loan documents post-approval.
• Provide backup for the Sales & Underwriting team with file reviews as needed.
• Support initiatives to improve company performance in collaboration with Sales & Underwriting.
